I-ACT for Children hosted its first annual Pediatric Research Innovation Forum on Oct. 15-16 in Bethesda, Md.
Each year, this meeting will tackle an important issue in the field of pediatric clinical trial research, as part of our commitment to innovation, quality and urgency in advancing medical therapies specifically for children.
This inaugural forum focused on the bioethical, scientific and operational issues related to the inclusion of adolescents in adult clinical trials that are designed to assess the efficacy and safety of investigational drugs.
The goal of the workshop was to address the major barriers and gaps and develop recommendations for navigating them to maximize success of these trials.
Meeting presentations and an initial summary will be posted shortly.
