Job Purpose Summary

This individual will provide primary leadership and management for all aspects of membership growth and engagement. The Director will work closely with other internal departments to develop products that track member interactions to increase efficiency within the Site Network.  This position will have the ultimate goal of creating member value, enhancing awareness of I-ACT for Children, and advancing its mission. The Director will oversee development of the infrastructural framework and management of organization’s membership initiatives, including member retention and individual member recruitment efforts.

Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s and/or MS/MPH degree in a relevant scientific discipline
  • 5+ years of project management experience in a membership or non-profit setting

Job Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Support the COO in creating and maintaining the annual strategic plan for growth and sustainability
  • Measure and revise organizational goals into reportable metrics
  • Work on membership retention and recruitment initiatives highlighting member value
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships
  • Ensure the accuracy of the membership and prospect database
  • Plan, support and coordinate events as required by senior leadership
  • Develop and maintain the I-ACT for Children intranet site
  • Develop and maintain member section of website to encourage communication and peer to peer collaboration
  • Work with senior management to develop and track corporate deliverables
  • Manage consultant, collaborator and member contact information
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned

Computer Skills

  • Proficient use of standard computer programs: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), GotoMeeting, etc.
  • Experience with and REDcap
  • Experience with website platforms such as WordPress
  • Some experience with Adobe programs such as Adobe Illustrator

Supervisory Responsibilities:



Domestic and International travel:  10-20%
