Job Purpose Summary

The Business Development Director will present and promote our site network services and clinical trial protocol/solutions to potential members and subscribers. This individual should be motivated to roll up their sleeves, capable of representing I-ACT to pharma/biotech companies by clearly outlining our capabilities and have the skill set to review pipelines and provide the organization strategic direction as to appropriate targets for outreach.

 

Education Requirements

  • BA or BS Degree

 

Work Experience

  • At least 5 years experience in inside or commercial sales in a pharmaceutical services company or non-profit development in a related health care service preferably in clinical trials
  • Proven team leadership experience
  • Prior experience writing proposals
  • Knowledge and understanding of the pediatric drug development processes and services is a plus

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Planning strategic outreach to pharma/biotech companies who have or will have the need to perform pediatric clinical trials
  • Planning and evaluating potential members/subscribers marketing campaigns and activities
  • Identifying and stewarding prospective members/subscribers
  • Member/subscriber follow-up and tracking
  • Communicating with members/subscribers and staff via email, phone or social media
  • Liaison with our communication vendor in the creation of communication and marketing materials
  • Responsible for managing multiple vendors and contractors
  • Answering members/subscribers and staff inquiries in a timely fashion
  • Using prospect research tools and member/subscriber database to build relationships
  • Assisting in the development of marketing presentations and proposals
  • Organizing internal and external meetings as they relate to customer contact and follow-up
